きのう手を止めておいた制作途中のものを、あさアトリエ入りしたら
あたま働いていない状態ですぐ眺める。
いい悪いがすぐわかる。あさは正しくいつも助けられます。


I have the habit of looking ealry morning on the day before in production.
and then I grasp immediately good or bad of work last night.
It seems an effect on under half asleep conditions.
I can do correct judgement every morning and,always it time help me.

神保町にある竹尾見本帳本店で行われていた「紙とグラフィックデザイン 八木保の選択眼」へ行ってきました。（ちょっと前ですが。）
展示内容ははしょりますが、強く印象的だったのが展示物＃１の親から授かった命名紙。
世代から世代へ繫げていけるもの。
もの作りの基本に思います。


A few days ago, I went to Tamotsu Yagi: An Exibition on Paper & Graphic Desigin In Takeo Mihonchou near Jimbocho station. I felt the most impressive part of the exhibition was the calligraphy his parents made when he was born. Simple, yet beautiful!

I think that those who are able to keep traditions alive from one generation to the other, understand the meaning of craftsmanship. It's the basis for making things.

今日一日の振り返りは、どのように作るかではなく、なぜ作るか。
「なぜ」の再確認はほんとうに重要。仕事の軸です。

Looking back at my work day.

It's more important for me to remember "Why to make?" rather than "How to make?"
"Why to make"is like the axis for my work.

昨日9月7日はkataokaオープン2周年でした。感想はとくになし。
震災の年にジュエリーの店なぞをオープンし、1年目を迎えた時はちょっと嬉しかったですけれど、今は淡々と前に進むのみ。来年のCouture申請していました。


Yesterday was the 2nd opening anniversary of kataoka jewelry.

When we started 2 years ago, after The Great East Japan Earthquake, we were worried about the difficulties to sell jewelry.

Now, we just have great pleasure making new designs and crafts, and sharing our passion with our customers.
